Tony any one? last night the Audya froze, just a continuous sound, until switch off at power switch and restarted, can you advise any tests i could do to see what may be problem? I think I have already mentioned the ugly sound issue when starting style its like a definite scratch before the sound kicks in.
Also the pen drives are still not in my home in Aus, this has been a real distribution disaster by Ketron, should have made sure all owners had them same time, and if the 41a update is not correct in some way causing the freeze and so on, can i reload it without any problems. And lastly Tony I think you made reference to the "nothing on the board in Audya to put the extra ram 256" is that correct? and will i require a different board in audya to be able to do this?

Thanks any help much appreciated.

Robbo,

If you experience such or Midi hanging notes, press together ROTOR SLOW & ROTOR FAST to reset the Sound board. If this doesn't work and you have to power off, there could be a loose connection between your Sound board and the CPU board which needs to be checked. (What OS are you running?)

The PB341A Sound board found in AUDYA (which has the SPDIF in and out jacks) does not have the 256MB memory expansion slots found in the AUDYA 4&5's PB341B Sound board (which doesn't have the SPDIF in and out jack).

Thanks,

AJ

Thanks AJ,

I tried pressing the Slow and Fast Rotor together and it did not work, so what do I do now, also looks as though the User Assignable's not working as well using the 41a OS as supplied by Aus Dealer, could it be that they upgraded it and not quite right?

Thanks for the update on the ram, are Audya owners aside from 4&5 owners going to be able to upgrade at some stage bigger ram?

Robbo, when your Audya crashes do you get continuous 'white noise' very suddenly while playing??
I bought my Audya in June 09 and had a number of sudden 'white noise' crashes over a 12 month period - the solution in the end was for Ketron UK to replace my sound board. They were most helpful and did a fast turnaround under warrenty - my Audya with 41b OS and Pen Drive installed is now working without problems. Carl

Robbo,

I wasn't going to post this but since you mentioned it perhaps I need to just in case someone else has the problem. I have not had a lock up now for about 12 months, I loaded the pen on about 7 days ago so I have the very latest dogs dangly bits, alas the Audya locked up 2 nights back, at the time it happened I was using a Organ voice and part way thorough , on the fly, I changed to a string voice (OTM), that’s when it locked up, I think I tried every button but not the rotor, who would? Only a switch off fixed it, glad I don’t gig. It may be a one off - but I will keep you posted Robbo.

AJ,

How many bad connections are there in an Audya when you buy one, I can't find it in the technical data sheet anywhere. Is this your standard answer for lock ups and left or right channel silent.

It seems like it’s the never-ending story of problems with this keyboard. I’m starting to get slightly annoyed by this whole ordeal. I updated my Audya with the pen drive a couple of days ago, and its been working fine - until this morning when the Audya would not power on anymore!! Nothing simply happens.

I guess it may be some loose wires or something, I tried changing the fuse with no positive result so I will return it to my dealer tomorrow.

My Audya did also freeze up with 4.0. a month ago.

Once my Audya did lose all the live guitars in the styles. And I couldn't get them back in the STYLE VIEW. I had to re install the OS to get them back.

I still have the sync problems in the style and the autopanning hihat in some styles.

I think Audya needs many more updates before it will be flawless.

I just loaded the current OS, I just remembered that it was 4.1A, not 4.0 that i wrote earlier.
