I feel all three have their strengths in various voice categories but for the basic sound categories like Piano, Bass and Drums the Roland really shines. Comparison would be the most accurate if all the boards are played with the effects turned down and recorded in the same environment and of course the same pieces played by the same players... One brand missed out here is Ketron. The SD-2 has some stunning sounds which can put these three to shame in many sound categories.

And most importantly if Marco Parisi or Bert Smorenburg or Cesar Guzman played these pieces through a Casio board and you only heard the audio, then most would conclude its one of the big three. They can get the best out of any keyboard.
