A little soundbite of the demo I visited this evening. The German girl (Susan Albers) is a really, - really - good singer. This is not the best showcase of the evening, but I just recorded the last song they played all three together.

Enjoy!

Best Regards,

Joost

Close your eyes and listen. Imagine you are recording a live band with the same camera.
I can appreciate either a bad balance between the instruments and the singers' voices or how cheesy an arranger sound (specially the drums)

Hard to get a good mix with a camera...that's why don't like doing home videos.

You're right, Joost, the girl is a terrific singer...and, they all looked like they were having fun.

Victor lets hope that Yamaha will address the Drums in the possible Tyros 5 release to more of a NON Compressed, "LIVE" sound in all of their arranger units..
Seems this is what most players are asking for from Yamaha.

Yamaha, korg, Audya(Ketron), and Roland, all have their own characteristic sound (and features), and probably always will...it's called "choice".

If we can't warm up to the sound of an Audya or korg, it's very gratifying to know we have the choice of a Yamaha or Roland...or vice versa.

The player buys the instrument that has the sound (and features) he/she prefers and/or best suits their needs.

T'was no different many years ago when players chose between the characteristic sound of Moog, Roland ARP, Sequential Circuits, Oberheim, Yamaha synthesizers...there were fanboys for each and every manufacturer, and like some arranger buyers on SZ, a few bought more than one brand.

Ian

PS...Seems players are asking for a real Irish Jig style from korg.

Joost,

This is crap video, not sure it's doing anyone on stage any good or the arrangers. You sound much better in your house..

The girl has a nice warm voice. I closed my eyes and now am beginning to think arrangers suck.
