Yamaha introduced the upgrade to the StagePAS 300 and 500... the new 400i and 600i. More power and redesigned speakers. Also a USB port to power and pull audio from an iPod/iPhone. Nice update... now, how does a Tyros 4 sound through this thing?!?

The StagePAS 600i would be a nice system for some of the guys and gals on this forum. Not sure when they are shipping but I might get a system for those smaller gigs and for a backup system.

I'd rather have two powered speakers or the Bose L1 and use the mixer on my keyboard.

I generally use the Stagepas 500 when doing demos...I like having the seperate mixer as it allows me to add other keyboards, or perhaps a microphone for a singer or sax player, as well as an extra input for a guitarist.

These rigs are a nice upgrade, and I will be looking forward to using them in the new year.
