I have a friend who has a Roland E 70 ... he is getting this message: "Check Internal Backup Battery" ... he can't find the internal battery placement on the keyboard ...
he tried looking up a diagram of the board on the internet but could not find it ... can anyone help?
thnx,

Unless he takes it to a service center to do it for him he may just be forced to open up the keyboard and look for the battery on the motherboard. Hopefully it isn't soldered on otherwise it will need to be unsoldered and a new one resoldered on.

The best way to find a local approved serviceman is to take it to a local store that sells Roland gear like Guitar Center because they will have an approved repair serviceman that they use. Even if it costs a few more bucks to do it that way it is worth it in the long run.
