Took my S950 to it's first gig today and I couldn't be happier. It is as close sounding to a T4 as you will get without owning a T4. Along with the 100 songs I setup on the S950 I took requests and was able to use my T3 setups with no problems at all for the requests. It is enough lighter than my T4 to make a difference in the setup process. Yes, it's a keeper.

Donny,
It is uncanny how much it is like the PSR3000 - sounds being the exception of course. So far I have not had any problems with button layout and often don't even have to look for them. Having fun with it so far.

Nice to know you are happy with the S950.
Great pics, and the blue light gives the setup a nice 'glow'

My kind of setup - clean, neat, easy to setup and take down. Deane and I talked last night and his description of the 950 really keyed my interest. "It's a PSR-3000 on sterioid, which I believe would be the perfect keyboard for both the NH circuit and larger venues. I love my 3000s and would be hard pressed to sell either of them, but like me, they're getting old. I'm really looking forward to hearing the 950 in person.

Cheers,

Gary cool

Hi Paul,
That "thing" connected to the mic stand is my iPad on which I display only
music leadsheets. It is not connected to the keyboard. I have several thousand leadsheets all in PDF format on the iPad and dozens of playlists for gigs. I use a 3 Euro program called "GoodReader" to display the music and it works great for me. The Ipad is being held in a holder made by "GigEasy" just for the iPad. You can google GigEasy and see all their equipment.

As I understand it using an ipad with a Tyros or a psr and Songbook Plus you can choose songs on your ipad and as the pdf opens it also sets up your keyboard for that song and you can also do it the other way. Choose a preset on the keyboard and it will automatically open the pdf on the ipad.

Hi Deane, I love the setup, and was intrigued by the bench. It looks lightweight! What is it?

Graham,
It is a small piano seat - under $30.00 at Guitar Center. Folds up nicely for transportation and is very light.
