I'd like to be to use my VL2 with both my Tyros 2 and Korg Micro Arragner. I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed and it was pretty darn hard to figure how to get the T2 and the VL2 to sync up correctly- but I got it. Now adding the KMA will complete my rig. Any tips?

Yikes ... you'll need a midi merge somehow. They made them in rack form and pedal form years ago, but I haven't seen one in ages.
You need to have Midi out(Tyros) feeding the TC in, and Midi out(Korg) also feeding the SAME Midi IN on the TC.

Here's one I found:

Make sure the keyboards both send midi info out on the same channel, and only let ONE style player at a time be used.

Alternately, if one of your arrangers has a MIDI 'Through', perhaps if both are flexible enough to set MIDI channels for Harmony settings, you send one arranger into the other, then 'through' to the VH....

Thanks guys. I'll see what I can do.

Mirza, the VL2 generates harmonies based on the chords I play. Yes, I do use a mixer

Since you have trouble with midi and VL2 reads chords from audio input you could have both keyboards have one aux send from your mixer and connect that to your VL2.That way it's really easy. Something like monitor outs.

How well does the VH2 generate correct harmonies from an entire mix? Most people using these I've seen plug a guitar into them, and it derives the harmony from the audio from the guitar. But that is basically ONLY chording. A full mix (whether from an mp3 or an arranger's audio out) contains the drums, percussion, non-pitched sounds, as well as basslines, chords and lead lines (often with many passing notes).

If you are planning on using the arranger's main outs as an audio trigger for the harmony, you need to find this out. And I'd be interested too!

I never tried that while I had VL2.I use custtom scalesso midi doesn't matter to me..I just sudjested this because it is easiest way.I know you can put a song without lead voice and it would generate harmonies.Arranger would work the same way.I think it is worth a try.
