Maybe chas was traumatized as a young child?! A bad trip at a bierkeller? A camping trip ruined by bad singalongs?! A St' Patrick's Day binge buzz ruined by one too many jigs?!

Who knows. Just remember, folks...

Your kids' first exposure to the accordion needs to be a positive experience, or they may be traumatized for life!

one is used to or grew up with. Not a judgement thing, just a preference thing. smile

Chas

A bit harsh on the accordion, which to me is as good as any instrument when played well.

We in Europe regard the instrument very highly, whereas in the US

you will associate it with those polka bands and a few famous

jazz players Frank Morroca, Art Van Damme Ernie Felice and the

like.
The accordion gets a lot of exposure over here, but so does

Jimmy Smith, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones etc, we like them all.

Anyway I will continue to post the best accordion videos and

maybe one day you will come 'round to appreciating the

instrument a bit more .

Frank, I try not to spend a lot of time trying to get people to like what I like (or agree with me on every point). I don't like the taste of brocolli either, and no amount of encouragement from ANYbody is going to change that. I suggest you get comfortable with my choices of what I do and don't like in music. Hopefully, those choices don't impact you in any negative way.

Peace,

chas
