Hi guys,

What are some good headphones around? I want to get some for my new Pax3 which I will be getting in a few weeks.....Should I just try some at my local music shop?

Thanks

I have to use studio reference headphones with my Audya to take advantage of the full dynamic range offered by real audio, although it might not be so important on the Korg.

If you don't want anything too big then I love Sennheiser HD 25-1 II as they are small and portable, but if you plan to use phones for long periods of time you might want to look at something more comfortable, perhaps Sony MDR 7509HD which had very good reviews. Of course if money is no object there is only one choice in my book: the superb Sennheiser HD800.

don't use headphones when you edit a keyboard...you'll be sorry when you take them off and listen..

I just ordered a pair of Pioneer HDJ-1500-K headphones ($179). They're brand new on the market. I haven't listened to them, but I heard a lot of good things.

I needed collapsible, detachable cord (in case the cord breaks), comfortable earpieces. The Pioneer fit the bill nicely.

My last pair was also pioneer. They sounded good listening to my opera MP3's, on my keyboard and were rugged enough for DJ use too.

The store is giving me a full 14 refund period to try them out, so I really have nothing to lose.

I use a pair of Lidl Wireless Headphones that out perform my sennheiser HD270 £19 UK Price. Aldi also do similar.
Sound very clean with tight low bass.
Contains rechargeable batteries so alway ready to go.
