you might need to change the Audya to USB MIDI OUT in the Utility menu.

Me personally, knowing and understanding Ketron's way or MIDI routing...keep a gun
next to you so you can shoot yourself and dont buy any stories they tell you that they
changed on Audya, trust me, this will be the experience of your life. Just use it as it is,
as an Arranger and nothing more, it cant even be a Studio Instrument, has no MIDI
routing at all, it will give you a hell of a hard time with no results. And as far as i know i dont really think Audya can communicate
MIDI with a comp thru USB but i am not sure about it.

Audya can be connected both on USB and on the midi in and out, if you use USB, change in the utility to USB on, and in Sonar open the midi device and mark the USB port in and out
if you use the midi in and out it will work at the same way without any change in Audya
I use both of them some times but mostly the midi in an out

Thank you Player1 for advice.
In Audya exist two utility pages.First is when you pres Menu, pres F2 Midi, pres F4 Utility, pres
F6 USB Midi to ON position.
Second Utility page is when you pres GM part buton, pres User buton 5/10 Utility, pres F6 USB midi Out to ON posicion.
No mether what Utility I couse nothing hapened.Wich is right one?I supose is first one is wright to conect USB midi port to computer.
In computer in Control panel,Sound and audio device, hardware can see USB device is exsist like Audya, but in Audio panel cant chouce Usbe port cos dosent exist.
So what I can do next?....mabi like Nedim say"purhase a gun and..."
I send the same question to Ketron but nobay respond. What kinde factory is that? Its anaf to sel ther product and forget all costumers...(*@*#+*)-you know what I mean.

just press menu-mid-utility and set USB to on
thats all you have to do on Audya.
In the Sonar press option- midi device and check the USB both in and out, it works for me

Sorry Player1,but in Sonar I cant set USB IN and USB OUT cos I dont see them.
When I conect Audy to Comp I can hear Haw Audya conect to PC (Special sound Windows send to speakers). In Control panel-sounds and audio window-hardware-can see USB Audio device like Audya. In audio vindow-Midi device cant see USB aut cos dasent exsist. So I cant chouce them. The same is in Sonar or in ather application like WanBasco.
Its some mistake in my PC.In the past I haw no problems with Korg and Yamaha kayboars.
Simply instal right driver and all works fine.
In Ketron cant fined driver for Audya in all that world....

ok, just tried it on my computer. took about 20 seconds and it worked straight away.

first i set the audya up:
Menu -> Midi -> Utility -> USB Midi: [ON]

plug the audya (rear usb) into my laptop

windows found the audya straight away.

I checked in windows control panel and the Audya had automatically been selected as the midi device.

Loaded sequencer on the computer, works perfectly.

Maybe you either have a problem with your USB cable or your computer has a USB issue?

here is what i see on my computers device manager:

Why are you so quick to complain about Ketron?

If you see the same devices in control panel as I do then the problem is not with the Audya and Ketron cannot help you. Seems to me your problem is with the software you are using and it should be the producers of SONAR that are on the recieving end of your frustrations.

Just out of interest, in "Sounds and Devices", is the USB device set as your default Midi device? If so, try loading a midi file into Windows Media Player. If that plays ok, then you know for sure SONAR is your problem.

If not, uninstall the device driver in control panel and search new hardware then try again.

Sorry TWD,but only trouble is in bouth Computers cos in "Sound and devices"window that USB device is not present, and so I cant select them.Simply cant belive the same problem is in two diferent Computers. So allso Windows media player cant play some Midi file.
I am not totaly analfabet abaut computers(cos dont know everything)but I haw no problems befor with my older kayboard like Tyros and Pa2x pro and know haw to handle with drivers and setings.
I dont complaine Ketron,I complaine ignorance of Ketron people to help users of Audya.

did you uninstall the driver yet?

if not do it in this order:
don't forget to set the audya up before plugging in the USB cable:
1) Menu -> Midi -> Utility -> USB Midi: [ON]
2)plug the audya (rear usb) into your laptop
3)go to device manager on your computer
4)right click on USB Audio Device in the 'sound, video etc' section and 'uninstall'
5)when thats done right click on the top of the tree (should be the name of your computer) select 'scan for new hardware'
6)Once the Audya has been found look in "Sounds and Audio Devices" in control panel again and see if its there under "MIDI MUSIC PLAYBACK"

Sorry Dusan I can't understand your post at all. are you saying the midi track starts to play but then the built in styles on the Audya turn on?

If you have had to re-install OS3 it makes me wonder if you are not having the same problem as others we read about here:

http://forums.ketronmusic.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=688

My Audya just 'works' perfectly in a MIDI environment so it has to be:
1) something your doing wrong
2) something you (or you retailer) has already done wrong (like the OS update thing)
3) something wrong with your keyboard.
4) something wrong with your software.

Don't let it frustrate you or complain about it here, just ask the shop you brought the Audya from for help, that's what they are there for. If they can't help they should ask their distributor, if the distributor can't help they should ask the factory...its how a support system works.

And do the same with the software package.

TWD exsactly that I say about Style start to play.Once again:
When I start Sonar to play Midi file I can hear Audya to play that Midi file. After two or thre measure of that Midi file aranger start to play allso. In that moment I can hear Midi file from sequencer and Style from Audya in the same time.
My Audya coming with last OS version (3.0.a).Like you can read my post befor that I complain haw my Audya dont recognize no one USB port(in front of Audya)also my computer dont recognize driver from Audya.
You allredy know,I reload OS in Audya and anather problem coming out.I realy dont know whay that hepened, but that is reality. In my bouth computers is the same problem with Audya and with bouth comp I haw no problems atall with athers instrument like Pa2x or with Tyros. My conclusion is:my comp is OK and my software in comp is OK,but something is not in Audya.

Did your Audya have OS3 from the factory or did the shop install it? You need to ask the shop because they may have done it wrong (but might be reluctant to tell you). If it were my Audya I would reload OS2a, styles, OS2C and then OS3 like it says on the UK website. If it had OS3 installed from the factory you don't need to do that. Your Audya should just work, if it doesn't work there is obviously a problem and I don't think any of us can help you with it..

You also say your computer doesn't see the drivers, but then say the Audya is playing MIDI files from your computer but in a strange way?

You really need to get on to the shop you brought it from. You could be wasting hours for no reason.

Also, you shouldn't be using the USB ports on the front of your Audya! they are for devices like memory sticks etc. Like I said before you need to use the rear USB socket.

I can say,I recive my Audya directly from truck who drive instrument from Germany in original package.OS must be loadet in Germany or directly in Ketron.Cant investigate that. After reload OS all USB ports start to work also comp can recognize Audya driver like I say befor. After reload OS Audya work with Sonar sequencer, with Windows media player and with WanBasco Midi player with no problem except also start aranger to play.
(You also say your computer doesn't see the drivers, but then say the Audya is playing MIDI files from your computer but in a strange way)
That was be befor I reload OS
Iam interest:can I reload all OS from begining start with first one and go with all update to 3.0a?
