I see the R10 seems to be the most popular model. What made you get the R10 rather than the R8?

Which Rock n Roller model cart and accessories do you use?
What do you like/dislike about it?

I've been using an audio visual cart and it works perfect for my needs except for once in a while. Thinking about checking out a Rock n Roller and would appreciate your input on it.

I've used the R8 for the last several years and it works great for me. It carries my keyboard, 2 mike stands, keyboard stand, Bose compact, gig bag, and my stool no problem. If you have more that that, go with the R10, otherwise the R8 will do it.

I use an R10 but don't really know why. I think it was the size and width of the rear pnumatic wheels. Other than that they are very similar. http://www.rocknrollercart.com/parts.php I load an L1 Compact, an S910, a large X-seat, an X-stand and an equipment bag. I never need to extend it. Setup and tear down are fairly simple, although the pull cable is usually what everyone complains about. It was definitely a good purchase for me; everything comes and goes in one trip.

Now I remember why I chose the R10 over the R8 - I found an online hardware store that was selling them for less that the music stores were selling the R8.

I use an R-10 that I modified. It has larger wheels than the 8, which makes it roll a bit smoother over rough surfaces such as brick sidewalks. I created a special top shelf, which is nothing more than a couple strips of 1-inch box aluminum held in place with detent pins. Really works great, set up in seconds, and the top rack will hold my 215-pound butt! wink

Cheers,

Gary cool

I have been using the R10 for years. I chose it over the R8 because of the pneumatic rear wheels like Gary said. I also bought the extra shelf, whis is very handy if you are not as innovative as Gary.

Best online prices I've found so far are:

R8 $154
R10 $177

Anyone know of any better prices? Interesting but not surprising that it is a bit cheaper going to a non-music related site. No MAP price problems. Of course, if I get one I plan on going to GC and having them match the price locally.

I am kind of leaning towards the R8RT, non-flat tires. I'm thinking 8"x2" is plenty big for about anything.

Hi Scott:

One more thing, I did replaced the Tires(when I got a flat one), with non inflatable or tires that NEVER get flat, it cost me about $20.00 each tire installed...they look the same, ride the same, only I never get flat tires. I will email you a picture in a few days.

I purchased mine(Second one) when G.C. had a special sale, I think I paid around $100.00 that was about 4-5 years ago.
