This is first place on the internet to get this:

KETRON UK NEWS APRIL 2nd 2012

Ketron UK Audya Styles Program

As of 1st June 2012 Ketron UK will release the first of an ongoing Live Style USB Update Program for Audya Series instruments. Each of the USB updates will contain Five Styles suggested by our customers and created in collaboration Robert Messier.

The first Five styles are a selection of our most requested so far and we hope you are happy with the choice:

Ballroom Quickstep - perfect tempo for one of the most classic dance floor styles.
Driving Beat - Your audience will want to Dance The Night Away as they search for Amarillo!
60s Power Ballad. - Vintage Live drums for classics such as 'He Aint Heavy, he's my brother' and 'Whiter Shade Of Pale'
Strictly Rhumba - perfect dance floor rhumba recorded at the correct tempo
50s Ballad - a 6/8 ballad for just about every top 10 ballad released in the 1950s.

To ensure the cost is manageable (for you and for us) the cost will be in line with the price of our competitors older MIDI technology premium styles.

SUGGEST A STYLE

As these styles are for you, then we need you to be involved. When (and if) you buy the first Style Update Pack you will be able to suggest three styles that you would like to see on the next update of five. If one or more of your styles is selected then you will get the next update free of charge. (if more than one person suggests the same style then we will randomly select a winner). This way it keeps us in touch with your wants and lets you have a say too.

More information will be available soon at www.ketronmusic.co.uk or call 07599 854176

TWD,

Great Idea with the 5 pack of new styles
Great way to keep our AUDYA up to date and out-of -date in a way with the oldies :-)

Thank You for the 6/8 style in pack 1
It is a very popular style not really found in Audya, maybe 1 so-so version of 6/8

I believe it was ME that always asked for the 6/8 Ballad
So can I have the Pack #1 for free? please....

I will just add that the BEST thing about these packs is that ROBERT Messier is involved in creation partly or fully....

Imagine the amount of USB sticks you have to keep control of if new volumes coming too often Lee wink

Anyway, it's good news and I'm sure many Ketroners will welcome new usable styles in the library.
I for one would love to see a growing stylelibrary if I had Audya, arrangerkeyboard is for me a matter of playing with styles, not mp3 or midi.

Good luck gals & guys. smile

Cheers

Its a relief your not disappointed - I was concerned after so much hype it might fall flat!

Although it wasn't you that suggested the style to us I have to say you have been the most enthusiastic about the idea of new Audya goodies so will send you a copy of stuff we were putting on peoples USB sticks at the roadshow..pm me with your email address. Its not much but you may appreciate it.

I am very excited about the style update too and love Roberts work. I hope it works out - much is dependent on Audya owners buying the styles instead of copying and sharing which is the quickest way to finish the program!

The release of the next five is dependent on the popularity of the first 5. If they are well received we hope to get straight on with the next batch. Sorry we cant be more specific just now.

This is very true, but it also depend a lot of what pricelevel to be charged to prevent such things happen. Later on when the library grows, Ketron could i.e. make a webshop where you can buy single styles as well as a mixed volumes for instant download.

I will buy Roberts styles even if they are of no interest to me
Why?
Because Roberts work is kick @ss
And I don't want to see him or this project disappear

So people. Please do not share, trade styles or it will come back to haunt us
And then WE have to create our own new styles from scratch
And I doubt very much that any of us or all of us combined could ome up with anything 1/2 as good as Robert can produce

Yes Sir Leezone..........My Audya has taken me to the top of my game!

Not to mention.....let's see......I started Organ lessons when I was 9.........I just turned 59......50 Years of playing.....!!!

Your bound to get pretty good with that many years practice!

I play about 95% of my material using styles. Not a big midi fan......So the more styles the better........bring em on!!! smile

let me see if I understand correctly:
every few time they are released a group of 5 styles, buying them can propose 3 style that would be included in the next 5 style package.
But these are released on USB stick style to buy? You buy a stick, which contains only 5 style? You can only buy one style of the 5?
What is the cost of the key with 5 style?
Or this style are available online and one pays them? Then download them put them on his stick and copy them?
Also there was no talk of new OS updates .. are there?
know if the demo video will be placed on the open day?
Thanks for the info!

1st of june there will be 1x usb stick containing 5 styles.

we then need ideas for the next usb stick which will also contain 5 styles so you let us have some suggestions. If we pick just one of your suggestions you get the next usb stick which also contains 5 styles (one of which is your style) free of charge.

so 5 people will get the 2nd USB stick free of charge and then the whole thing starts again.

I'm disappointed. I was expecting a new software, new possibilities, new audya style compiler, not to sell styles. I'm making styles in the last 12 months and then I'll have a site to sell these.

Ketron look at your software full of bugs first...

I am sorry you were disappointed but its really not the position of Ketron UK to make changes to the Operating System or hardware of the Audya. That should be down to the manufacturer.

We will only release styles if they are, at the very least, as good as the factory styles, which meant working with Robert. If he had refused to be in on it we would not even entertain the idea of new styles.

Leezone as I said before I personally do not need styles specially styles that do not play in Portugal (bailes) and that are payed. I need rather that my machine works well and like me there are several audya users in the world

AJ is not affiliated with us or Ketron italy. But we are very please to be working with Robert...a good deal of his musicianship is in all of our Audy'a already!

When you get the new styles we will include instructions on how to do it...possibly by email or via the website/ or the ketronmusic.co.uk forum (which will be re-opened before the 1st June) You tube link is a great idea for suggestions.

correct - AJ is not involved with the styles and Ketron UK is not involved in his project.

The first five styles should be completed by the 15th May, but we have allowed extra time for preparing demo's and wot not. Its better to say a slightly later date to avoid frustration.

I had a call from the warehouse this morning and it looks as though Ketron Italy did send us the new products after all!! but we didn't get them in time to exhibit them. Never mind, I will enjoy playing with them.

_________________________________________________________________________. I think maybe some other few bugs still to be corrected, also not so much Ketron Uk's problem, however Ketron obviously feel they still have a great product to sell I,e Musik Messe 2012, now that was totally dissappointing! No news on an update to the OS, no news on another type of editor, indeed aside from the pictures of new products, no demo's at all (aside from the orig Audya) wow it' dejavue since it's inception. I'll say it again don't believe there is a better sounding keyboard out there 76 keys great drums, bass and backing styles, mostly the best you will hear, and a board just crying out for further development by Ketron.

So the upshot here is Ketron, if you believe you have a great product (musikMesse 2012) why on earth would you waiste the cost and presentation to do nothing to enhance the Audya?

I am glad Ketron UK are doing the Style thing, anything else is great, but I really wan't Ketron Ialy to come to the plate and to keep developing the orig Audya to where it should have been now. There should have been no other keyboard that could compare, but the Audya is an expensive board, that has lost it's value even with it's great attributes, why? I think a lot of what I have written has a lot to with it.

I appreciate the free updates from Ketron, but I'm not opposed to paying good money for great outcomes. God help Ketron if either Yamaha, Korg or Roland ever figure out a way to get those live backings into their styles, they will get it right from the outset, and I fear and I'm sure you do, it's all over for Audya.

Agree 100 % with the type of styles. I will like to see more orchestral styles. Audya is lacking in this regard; the T4 is great in this area.

Regarding Ketron and styles.
Yet (imho) there are not any other brands who made a arrangerkeyboard sound as live and as ONE band as Ketron managed to do with i.e. SD1.
To be honest, I don't know about Audya other than heard and seen at the web so far, simply because the long time it took before it arrived this country, and when it finally came, the price was so sky high that I did not even find it worth to try it live.

It's easy to make styles who may sound good if you play only that one, but to maintain the trick to make it sound good and as you not change the whole band at the stage whatever style you play without do a lot of tweaking, that is an art of a Master!
If Audya is as good as SD1 at that point, the stylemaker(s) have to be very careful not to "destroy" it.

Cheers and Happy Easter.

I agree with you but I think that some orchestral style in certain contexts to me and hopefully others could use ... among other things I did not understand, where we propose the style we want? In this discussion? Thanks for the info.

I like the black as well!

Back to the styles,

I'm thinking styles like a great moody driving style, something like pink Floyd type applications "wish you were here", "uncomfortably numb", I'm sure you get the point.

Thanks

Robo the first demo mp3, the intruments play from VST instrumets...
It is for Audio Drums example.... The link mp3 that I put there is from Audya style ( Variation 1)...
The style is not complete...

So....
Here is the link with the style for test!...

http://www.divshare.com/download/17410990-b8d

In folder exist 3 files: STYLE, USER AUDIO DRUMS, PROGRAM
The Program with name 70s_Richard is the sounds that play in last mp3 demo like Richard Wright.
Please copy the Program file in USER DATA folder, and for install it select a Program that you want, press Disk/User Data/70s_Richard/Enter..
After your test and if it play ok, press SAVE to saved as Program...
Copy the style, and User Audio Drums also and play...
It is 2 Variations.... without Fill, Breaks etc...
It is a test style....
