Hello,
Does anyone know if the SD-1 styles were converted for use with the Midjay Plus and SD-5?

The Midjay Plus styles and sounds are derived from the SD5. The Midjay from the SD1. Or at least that's what I was told.

Hello Don,
I'm sure you did this as well;
when I used the Midjay, I was able to use most of the 300+ very nice SD-1 styles. The Midjay Plus is limited to its' internal styles, and the styles of the SD-5 that are the same as the MJ+ styles - except for the piano styles that I can't use. I asked Ketron to make more styles available for the Midjay Plus (several times). Sometime ago, AJ responded saying that converted styles would be forthcoming. Then, along came the Audya and I noticed that styles were converted for the Audya and it seemed like converting styles for the Plus fell be the wayside. Unless Ketron offers an Audya module, I still would like to have more styles for the Plus. So, Don, use your influence with Ketron to make more styles available.
Ciao,
Jerry

hi, I lose all my database for ketron arrangers.

I need to find all SD1 plus or SD1 originals patterns to put them in my new midjay plus.

My email is fzero94@free.fr

Thanks for your help,
PaT

I wish I did have some influence with Ketron, but I can ask Ted and AJ. In fact they will probably read this thread. I know someone in the market for a MJ Plus, but I can't recommend it until I see one, or at least hear that there are more styles available.
I like the original Midjay a lot!

I'll have to look into this and see where we are with the conversions.

The AUDYA is a huge project that has absorbed most of our Engineers at the moment, but we'll follow up on this.

Thanks,

AJ

AJ,
It’s reassuring to see your response, and to see that you, and Ketron, have not forsaken loyal users of Ketron products other than the Audya. Please keep us posted about the progress of the conversions. Ketron’s lack of response about these matters is pretty frustrating.
Ciao,
Jerry

The sd1 styles should be able to load right into the sd5. You may have to tweek the volumes. all the newer ketron should be able to read any of the older unit. with the exception of the audya. I'm not sure about that one.

Yo AJ,
It's been several months. Any information about the conversions?
mc, I suppose they should but they don't, SD1 and SD5 are 2 different engines.
Ciao,
Jerry
