It's a snowy, rainy, stay inside kind of day, especially since I still have this 'boot' on my foot (another 2-3 weeks frown ) ... home alone with my KB, mic and recorder ... this is what happens:

Donny (Dnj) had talked about recording this song a week or so ago ... admittedly, when I was playing it regularly I was using an SMF because some of the clientele REALLY liked Garth ... for today I just set some Panel Memory (registrations) on the kb and used an on board style ...
I AM SURE Donny will have a different version and I can't wait to hear it ...

If Tomorrow Never Comes

Here is a little Jobim:
Once I Loved

and a 'swing' tune:
Just In Time

Thanks for listening

Tony nice job on TNC clap ....beautiful song, well done, .....
some of the lyrics reminds me of Kenny Rogers "Decorated My Life"..hearing these different version lets you absorb bits & pieces to mix into your own stylings.....I'm a bit busy getting the Pa500 setup right now ...but when I can I will try to record this song also...seems like a simple 4/4 ballad.......what method did you use to record this Tony?...

Thank you for sharing

Thnx Donny ...
I used one of the 8 Beat styles on the kn6000 and set up Panel Memory(s) with the style variations and voices I wanted to use ... kb into mixer, mic into harmonizer into mixer, ZOOM H4n recorder out of mixer ... then it was just play and sing ...
Looking forward to your version ... and anyone else's - NOT as a competition, but as a demonstration of different styles and vocals ...

Hey Tony,

Gave a second listen to your performance. I know I've heard "once I loved" before, but can't remember when!

Not something I would do as a vocal, however, I'm going to try and add it as an instrumental. Nice, haunting melody.

Thanks for posting; GOOD JOB!

Thanks for the kinds words, Don ...
I started singing "Once I Loved" as a request by a couple - the husband used to play the song for her on guitar when they were in college - and they wanted the vocal version ...
I really enjoy playing/singing bossa tunes ...
I would like to hear your instrumental version ...

Tony,

One of my favorites "Just in Time".

I know you love the Bossa tunes, I believe the night Deb came out to Lincoln CC all those years ago to listen and meet you and Lyndia, you opened with " Blue Boss" also one of my favorites. I would never even attempt to sing "Once I loved"! Thanks for posting.
