Ordered mine today. This follows on the heels of my purchase of the KMA which helped me realize how much I like Korg arrangers. (I once owned a PA800 which I now regret selling).

On another note - the church where I serve just purchased a KRONOS. All I can say is WOW.

Hi Tim, smile
Congratulation on getting a 2nd Korg keyboard.
Now that you've got both a Pa500 and KMA,
interested in your comparison evalution of the two.
Are you planning to keep/sell the KMA?

Scott cool

Tim,

Good luck with all of your keyboards, I know that you are enjoying the Micro as well as the resources that I made for it.

To all those getting interested in the PA500 as a great "budget " alternative to the PA800 or PA3X, check out my specific PA500 resources and user comments on pages five and six of my website:

Hi Tim
congratulations.
If you need any extra styles let me know. I collected some from various sources for my PA800 which should work reasonably well on PA500.
Also did a few user styles for the korg forums, mainly tweaked conversions & mix n'matches, happy to send you those too if you like.

Congratulations Tim. Amazing how many are turning to the great sounds and styles of the PA series. This movement will only help make Korg even more powerful down the road. The Kronos is amazing. I have to gag every time I go to GC and they put the Kronos through some lousy mono amp on the floor. Seems they care about the Karaoke room only.

Thanks Donny. Your comments regarding the 500 had a large influence on my decision. Even though I wanted the PA3x, the 500 will have to do.

Fortunately I was able to hear the Kronos properly and privately through a set of headphones. Incredible machine. The piano alone is to die for. I am quite disappointed however in the quality of the saxes. Yamaha has that area nailed down - why even the Yammie 'sweet soprano sax' found on practically every one of their boards blows away any soprano sax on the Kronos - but what's lost on the saxes is well made up for on strings, keys, brass, and just about everything else. The combi's on this monster are thick and just downright WOW - add in KARMA and the possibilites are just about limitless.
