Even though I realize she's been thru a lot of ups and downs in recent years, I'm still in shock!
This is truly a very sad day
Whitney Houston was an early inspiration to me as a singer.

RIP Whitney!

This is such a sad story. A tragedy and a waste of real talent. May she rest in peace.

She was a true super-star who couldn't handle the demons that get so many. I also suspect she couldn't handle the ride down. Like Elvis. Superstar fame is an ugly drug.

What a career...

USA Today article summarizes Whitney Houston

You're getting sentimental

She falls short miles of the really great singers of the past... and even of the present...

I have seen her live, and left the concert halfway... all she did was sit in a barstool and sing below average... And that was before all the drugsproblems started..

Only her edited studio performances where of high quallity, sorry to say so.

Loved her! May she rest in peace!

Not too many vocalists sent chills thru me, Whitney did.

Supposed to be a tribute to her on the Grammys tonight. I haven't watched it in years, but I have it set to record this time.
