would love to hear my buddy Don M do this great Garth Brooks tune.. "moving people" with your music is what its all about
Well Donny,
Sometimes you put some funny old tosh up on SZ, on topic and off topic, but this time this takes the cake, I was in tears, isn't it nice when an young country boy makes good, I hope he does well. Thanks, how many hours a day are you trawling the internet Donny, hells how do you manage to gigg as well.
Tony

Tony I get up early and usually have nothing to do in the wee morning hours while I sip my coffee, so it's easy to enjoy the internet. Gigging takes place l8tr on in the day & evenings most days. This time of year with Snowbirds in Florida etc,.. I try to coast a bit & spend quality time with the family as busy as I am most times I like to try to live by this Marlon Brando quote from my favorite movie "THE GODFATHER".... "A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man."
I'm glad you enjoyed the Garth Brooks Song its a beauty.
Didn't know but do now, what a guy, good luck to him, thanks Manuel.
Tony

I started doing it in the 80's when it came out. Haven't done it in quite a while, but I'll have to resurrect it. Love to hear your version Donny. DonM
Wow. This community of ours here on SZ has done it again. I got to hear about Kevin Skinner and his wonderful humanity through his song. I also had to shed a tear.. today just happens to be the anniversary of our wedding day I am so thankful that in our latter years together, we didn't miss a day without saying I love you. I can't tell you how much I give thanks for our love.
Forgive my outpourings guys...... I hope you will all take heed of the words of this beautiful song.

I'll email you privately a vocal version buddy. I possibly hear "Cool 8Bt" style for this one.. Love to hear your version also Don....."RESURRECT" Yeah!

Like DonM, I have been doing this song since it came out ... It became a big hit for me with the 'regulars' at a local Italian Restaurant I played at for about a year and a half ... I can almost hear Donny singing it ... I am sure he will give it a completely different interpretation ... I also have been doing Garth's "The Dance" for many years ... Can't find garth on youtube, but here's Martina's version ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fL86fGw6Gk&feature=related
Thanks for your words Don It was heart-warming for us that you took the time to dedicate one of your gig performance songs to her...she never forgot that. cheers Eddie
