Fran, the singing is very nice, the girl is a real looker, and I love the tune, but I can't say the sound of the keyboard impressed at all.

Really, it sounds like a Casio to me, and I'm not trying to be insulting to Casio users, as some sound very good.

The midi file was very well done, but the whole background sounded one-dimensional to me.

The horn solo was very bland, the electric piano about the same...the strings were quite nice, but it's all not what I expected from the instrument, as Donny had a much better sound out of it on his demos (and he only used styles and simple right hand).

Maybe it was the way you recorded it? I'm in no way trying to bash the Korg, honestly, but I am saying I'm disappointed compared to what I heard from Donny.

Maybe you need some of John Smies's magic enhancements?

Ian

I went to hear it, but I don't see a link to it. Hard to concentrate on the music anyway!

It starts playing automatically, Don, at least it did for me.

It may take a while to start.

Oh, I see. I don't have Quicktime plug-in. Last time I tried Quicktime it did bad stuff to my computer. Is it o.k. to install it?

No way Jose! No Apple Quick Time for me either--too many bad things happened.

I've got Quicktime with Windows 7 and have had no problems.

Maybe someone can covert to WMP or something else?

For those who hate QT, I've converted the song to an MP3.
Hope that's OK by Fran.
BTW, really nice rehearsal song, she has a sweet voice
Enjoyed it

Thanks Larry, NOW THAT I INSTALLED QT. smile
Still haven't listened to it. Gotta find my headphones because I don't want to wake up She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Oh dear not sure I should be doing this but anyway...........
I almost concur with Ian here that the Micro sounded very dull and bland ( or is that the same...). Singing was nigh on perfect and so is the playing Fran.
I include a link to a recording I did with the PA50 and a friend of mine who is doing the vocals. I think it brings out the sound of the Micro a bit better perhaps.
As stated in the caption I also did a little cheating on that one in as far that the righthand acoustic piano sound is not ( I repeat NOT) the Micro but the ancient Roland E70..... (just to please Fran I guess, haha !)

regards,
John Smies
