Realizing that the micro-Arranger is essentially an older generation Pa50/Pa50SD in a smaller package, and that Yamaha Tyros 3 an earlier gen. Tyros 4,
I found three different arranger keyboard performances of the classic Eagles tune "Hotel California", of which imo highlights the aural differences between Korg & Yamaha arrangers,
and the reason I appreciate owning both a Tyros 4 and $499 micro-Arranger now. smile

Hi Scott

Try the Cinema Ballad style for Hotel California just change the Guitars to a mix of 12 string and steel.

Here's another one.

All three were fairly good, but I would like to hear a good performer use the style I have on hand for Hotel California. You can download it HERE

Cheers,

I though the KORG had the most realistic LIVE sound ...

I thought all three were great, but gimme that Yamaha sound any day!

It so clean, so "live", so detailed...just so GOOD!

Hi Gary,
thank you for the style.
Hope you don't mind I downloaded it. Unfortunately the performance bit, I'll have to give a miss.

I may give it a go in the next couple days--too icy and too cold to do much other than watch the Ravens playoff game.

They all sounded good to me. Hard to make a comparison- different players, recording gear... With that said, the 3rd one sound most pleasing to my ears.

I have that particular style Gary, as part of a terrific Tyros mega voiced Guitar orientated style pack that came out a few years ago...Born to Be Wild, Amarillo, Cocaine, Listen To The Music, Oye Como Va, Proud Mary, Sultans Of Swing were also included and it was great deal of fun to use gigging.

It's a doozy of a style, especially with the mega voices.

If you have a computer or an instrument that can run VST on-board, here is a variation http://download.musiclab.com/downloads/fake/anonymous/RG2.0_ToolBox_California.avi

Enjoy
