I hope it's ok to post this in the General Arranger Section,
but because I realize at least a few other Gen arr. forum only visitors own, or are thinking of getting a microArranger as well,
thought it worth posting here to afford more visability. If or when Nigel prefers to move it to the Korg Arranger sections, that's fine.

Seek Editor/Librarian Software for Korg micro-Arranger:

When I go to the Korg MicroArranger website & then click on 'support & downloads' which appears beneath the 'features' section at the left side of the page,
and then under Support, select/open "documents", the description of the microARRANGER Owner's Manual says:

Owner's Manual for the Editor/Librarian:
This is the Korg microARRANGER Software Editor/Librarian Manual in .pdf form.

This clearly tells me that there's an 'Editor/Librarian software program' available for the microArranger,
yet I don't see this available on the Korg's microArranger Support & Downloads Page,
nor included on the CD that comes with the microArranger keyboard itself.

Having an editor/librarian software would be greatly beneficial in making it far easier to edit and organize Korg microARRANGER Programs (sounds) on a PC,
than having to do this on the keyboard itself.

Any idea where I can download or obtain the aforementioned microArranger Editor/Librarian software?

Thanks in advance for all assistance.

Scott smile

It's fine to post it here. I will probably move it over to the Korg forum after a week or so that any Korg users checking that will see it in the future.

Hi Col,
Korg forum download section? confused1
Please post a url link. thanks. smile

------------------------------------

In the meantime I googled Korg PRM and found this:
http://www.oggettiinformatici.it/ricfreakprog/PRM.htm

Korg PRM appears to be Pc software to organize Pa keyboard "styles" only, and with no style editing capablities. On the other hand, an "Editor/Librarian" is typically PC software for organizing and editing a keyboard's sound patches (refered to as programs in Korg talk).

Upon reading Korg's documented mention of an "Editor/Librarian" software for the microArranger, I'm hoping they will soon be posting it here on their microArranger 'support and downloads' page.

Perhaps Sz Korg dealers Frank Ventresca and George Kaye can ask their Korg Rep about this, and report back to us about. Thanks. Scott smile

Hi Scott

I've been messing about with the PRM and the style to midi programs from Korg and I'm sure between the two they can function as an Editor/Librarian. The style to midi enables you to import midi files to chord variations, intros, endings in fact creat new styles, also to audition the styles within the program, fairly easily and the PRM (a bit tricky to sort out "NO HELP" or instructions) enables you to swop and change styles within individual banks in other words place any style any where you like either in the user banks or factory locations (remove the protection)

PS: Still havn't signed up for SKYPE sorry!

Regards

Col
