There are some others. The 15" version weighs 50 lbs although it's 700 watts RMS.

This 12" version is 28 lbs and is 300 watts RMS each. Decent price. Notice how they look pretty much like the new JBL's. That $459.99 price is for two of them.

I'm wondering how those using Podiums have found them to be. Also wondering if anyone has tried both the Podiums and Powerwerks. It would be interesting to see how they compare.

And now that I think about it, I'm wondering why anyone would want to spend about the same money for the Powerwerks with 50 watts vs these Podiums with 200 watts RMS and 18 pounds?

The Podiums continue to amaze everyone.....Our band uses a pair of 802's...Just last Saturday we were finishing our CrabTrap gig, when the entire wedding party came in..we did another hour for them....cranking up a pair of 802's (8 inch speakers)...the place was packed ..over 200 people..and management wanted me to push the sound..We did dance music for an hour at young kid levels..

802's out perform any thing that you want to compare...

We also continue to use Podium 1204's as our main "big" system...the 1204's have our Yorkville system NX520ps and 700 watt subwoofer, sitting in storage...

Can there be a bigger thumbs up.....

We also have used the 1503's (Borrowed from another group) great units (56 pounds each), but the 1204's bang just as much at 46 pounds each..

A mixer and the 802's can do 80% of our venues..if needed...and our average crowd is around 200 dancers..

Podiums deliver the big bottom, that the other's do not..

I have some of the 8-inch ones. I only use them for times when I have to be set up at two locations at the same time. They handle small jobs very well, and are "nearly free" in relation to most gear.

Using Podium 10's for all gigs, but I don't play many 'large' (125+ people) gigs ... clap

So I wonder how these would sound compared to my JBL 10 Eon G2's?

I imagine I'd have more bass on the Podium 12's compared to the 10's on my JBL's. Especially since I always place my speakers on the floor. I'd think 12's on the floor would have possibly as good or better bass than 15's on a stick?
