I have both the XD3 and the SD3 Ketron modules in my store and available for sale at really good prices. The XD3 is available for $895.00. It originally sold for $1595.00 a few years ago. I also have a one year old SD3 which is the same as the SD5 keyboard. This unit is in brand new condition, not a mark on it. It sold new for $2495.00 and I'm selling it for $1495.00. I have the original box for the SD3 but not for the XD3. Both modules feature all the great Ketron sounds, styles, mic input, keyboard and accordion modes. The only module ketron is making now is the Audya4 which is much more expensive then these two.

Hi george--you have a friendly face so perhaps you might help me

I posted this question elsewhere but no one answered me so
fingers cerossed

Would you have any experience of linking up the ketron SD2 to a ketron X1 keyboard or ketron X4 module
If you do please let me know as I would like some advice regarding Saving the settings
I had hoped to simply Midi the 2 units together and use the x4 to play Midifiles -but utilising the Sd2 sounds which are much better sounds
However when i try this I cannot save any changes i make to the midis in the X4. Even though I save as I normally would and then play the midifile again it has reverted back to the old settings
Maybe I was wrong to think I could link them in this way?
Any help greatly appreciated george

Rusty 999,

Not George, but I figured I'd take a go at this as I didn't see it mentioned anywhere yet.

* When you are in the MIDI menu (where you are changing your voices, volumes ... etc. once done, stop the MIDIFILE, press the SAVE button and save after oking the next message. You can choose to rename song (so you keep both pre and pro versions before the settings where changed).

Hope this helpped.

Thanks,

AJ

Hi again AJ

No that doesnt work

Thats the exact way I would normally Save changes while playing midis on the X4 or X1 on its own
But, when its linked to the SD2 It will not save any changes doing it that way.

The MUTE will not work at all and the SAVE will not save even though I do what you said but when I load the midi again it has
It appears that by linking the two units it causes the X4 to automatically select different voices--mostly pianos--for the midis.
