. . .I think mine needs replacing. Is this a Ketron-specific part, or is there a generic strip that will work?

All strips look the same but I wouldn't risk to put other than ketrons is very sensitive part and affects note velocity try to clean the contacts carefyly with very soft clothe and a soft paint brush. Even small dust dots can make "big velocity difenence" I was cleaning my G800 strip every month (too many screws to remove)

Hey!
I think the ones for SD1 are exactly the same like Roland G800-1000-va76 is using.Also, another problem I faced is with the edges of the board,(where all the strips are laying)..because they are not cut,just ripped there are a lot of small pieces of board , entering under the strips .I just used a litlle piece of sandpaper to make the edges nice allround.
