I would like to suggest for the next OS for XD3/XD9 something that I found very usefull!
It will be realy good to have the posibility to scrol back and forth within the song measures, in order to play a midifile from a certain measure.
Thank you!

Flavie,

Currently with the unit, you can scroll forward to where you would like the keyboard/module to start playing from using the COUNT button. However since we utilize the 'Playback Direct from Disk' feature (rather than loading the song into memory and then playing), the capability to scroll back and forward while the song was playing would not be very useful as you would have to stop & wait ... for the disk (FD/HD) to search for the new position each time a 'search' was instructed.

With the X -series and SD1 on the other hand, this feature is available when you LOAD the song into the Sequencer. With the song already in memory, many editing features (not found in SONG PLAY) are feasable.

Hope this explains why.

Thanks.

AJ

AJ, Thank you for reply!
Actually I found it very usefull to have a back scroll button when i am practicing a solo. G1000 has the capabilyty to mark a few measures and play them loop as long as you want. Very good for guitarists as well.Nice function.
