i started to mess with Style Compiler

either i am not the sharpest tool in the shed,
or the manual for Style Compiler is not well written at all

anyone here using what seems to be this GREAT tool
to convert midis to styles?

to start off, they give you an example midi file that's type 1,
when the Style Compiler can ONLY open type 0

the manual fails to explain how to add markers, etc, within cubase, do you need cubase? how about ableton or logic?
why do you need a sequence program at all?
why not incorporate one like Style Works, where you load, audition, choose measures, etc.

there's gotta be an easier way

can ANYONE help?
a video manual would be MOST helpful...

yes Brian, the Style Compiler wont ,
but before importing midi to Style Compiler, one must edit the midi, create all the markers, ArrA, B, C, Fills, Intros, etc

so this i assume can be done on Mac or PC, then midi file opened in Style Compiler

this is what i mean, manual is not detailed enough....

Hi leezone, I don't have the Audya yet, but as far as I understand there are more ways to create styles other than the style compiler, right?

yes, you can modify existing, or get parts from other styles, etc

but i'm interested in taking my midi files, loading to cubase, assigning parts, and making new AUDYA styles.

AJ, please add this to your videos, once youre done with AJAMSONIC

I join leezone's request. I've not yet experimented with the manual, but even if it's written very well, a video explanation can always help.
