I ordered the BK7M, but the store told me I couldn't get one until may (which is now). Then the store told me I couldn't get one until august - but if I wanted I could borrow the store's display unit until I got mine. Then I stumbled onto a deal that was too good to walk away from. So now I am a proud owner of a Tyros3. I got it new at 60% off including speakers, stand and case with full warranty - that is a good deal! (at least for my country...) So I couldn't refuse, so now I got it setup in my storage room. So far it is a great match for me. Well I just wanted to share - before the "New Gear Honeymoon" is over

Sounds like the deal you got was too hard to pass up.
I'm confident you will enjoy it and that your honeymoon will last a very long time.
Mine with T4 has reached the 6 month mark and still going strong.

DocZ good luck smart choice....these kbs drop in price like crazy leaving people that paid full price shaking their heads...same will happen with the T4 down the road....better off waiting and getting a great deal like you did....have fun!

I really hope the Tyros4 drops in price like crazy...that means more people can afford to get a fantastic arranger.

The Tyros4 is still holding steady...there were six sold from the two clinics I did this month, and at least two still nibbling.

Ian they are probably done with R&D on Tyros 5 as we speak they have to move on to make a profit and keep on top of the competition...with the new S series coming out very soon also.

Here in Norway the price for Tyros1, 2, 3 and 4 are holding quite good. The 4 is @ $6k, the 3 is @ $4k and the 2 is @ $2k, and the T1 is @ $1.8k - I got my T3 for $2k so I am quite pleased

I know the T4 is better - but for my use I think the T3 should do nicely!

You did very well, Doc...that was a terrific price.

Here in Canada, the Tyros/Tyros2/Tyros3 are also holding their prices very well...not good news for the consumer, but an indication that these instruments hold their value very well.

One of my best buddies has Tyros3, and prefers it over the Tyros4.

You must be very satisfied with your purchase. Congratulations!

I think that was a great deal, think of everything you could do with that money you saved had you bought a new T4.
