Hello Folks !

Last week I traded in my MS-50 and Roland JV-90 for the new Solton SD1. I used to run the MS-50 from a laptop using Cakewalk sequencer for the Midi files. I would still like to use my laptop to run the Midifiles on the SD1. This would be setup and used for backup purposes.

I have connected the laptop to MIDI IN(GM)
and the midifiles do play ok, although the program changes sent on CHANNEL 1 used for switching patches for my playing along are not recogized by the SD1.

What I need to know is how to setup the SD1 to recognize program changes for the right/left hand or other program changes such as registrations and also to recognize control messages for the Vocalizer transmitted by Cakewalk(laptop) connected to MIDI IN 1(GM).

I believe that SD1 systex info has been posted on Cakewalks website .
