Our team is working hard to complete this massive project. With Engineers in Canada, USA and EU, it's been an impressive one indeed but one we believe will be worth the wait!

AJ, with HD mod, will i be able to have my 1TB?

what I don't understand about AJ update
styles.. of course they have audio drums
but sounds ?
- will be in "ins" format, (then limitation of ram)
- or will be in internal rom ?
- the sounds will be "a program that use 3 internal voice"
- the sounds have new rom sample or what ?
I talk this becuase the last sound upgrade from ketron was nice ok, but all sounds (that has rumos, like sax ecc) was not complete souns but program that use all 3 voice, example sax is a full program, or piano pad is a simple program using 2 voice)
I'm curios to know the AJ pack, as I read the second pen upgrade from ketron has sound only ins format, maybe some drum kit new or modific) plase AJ answere this
and about will be ready to ship, because I'm working program my audya and don't know to stop and wait you and ketron before

These new Sounds (used both in the ARRANGER and as Lead voices) - or Voice Packs are actually new SAMPLES (that do not exist in your current/standard AUDYA).

The Voice Packs (Synth, Brass, Vocal and Guitar ... for now) each include over 25 new Samples & Effects used to:-
* Create totally new sounds ofcourse (e.g in the SYNTH, PADS and CHOIR category).
* Create new sounds plus Enhance current sounds (especially in the Brass, Guitars and Sax) - using Key On and Key off, velocity switching and Player Mode sensing (to be explained better).
* VCE-2 (Voice Character Emilation version 2) - adds dynamics and instrument character as you play certain LIVE instruments.

With the STANDARD AUDYA, you can only load 1 (One) voice pack at a time from your HD if you purchase Package OPTION#1. Package OPTION#2 also comes with hardware modification and memory expansion which allows you to load ALL 4 Voice packs at once!

thank's AJ, but about voice pack, you are talking the new voice you offer stay in hdisk not rom (then are .ins format) ?
and without harware modification can load only 1 at time (limitation of 64ram) and with hw modify have more ram for loa4 4 set of sounds together ?
then hardware modification is the amount of ram or what ?
because I like it, but I need ram free for me too
hope that new 4.2 has fix msp load problem and can load stereo samples too ?

1. new sounds will be in rom or hdisk ?
2. new sounds will be .ins format ?
3. the hard modify than has more ram ?

because If the hardw has more ram, but the ram will be full for the 4 package of AJ sound then is problem for me

but is very good if with hd modify all sounds stay in rom

can't say it's cheap or expensive till we know what exactly we are getting

All I know is my faith, although tested by Ketron and thier crazy PR team, is restored. This is obviously an ongoing feature of the Audya, and every time I look at another I come back to the Ketron, its an entertainers keyboard, the best drums, bass and the styles are perfect for vocalising. Yes I have T4 also, but its use is more the studio, at this stage. Can't wait for the news and demo;s on all of this AJ.. Thanks

Aj I think what we want to know now is, considering it's done, how long is it going to be before we can see it?

I know we are all anxious and many of us have been deperate for a fix of the bugs in the OS.

Unlike Ketron Italy, AJ, at least communicates when he can. The other thing is that eventhough he has his own company, I would imagine that he is at least somewhat dependant on Ketron to fix certain basic flaws.

I have no doubt AJ has been working as fast as he can, considering other people he has to depend on.

Imagine us doing a demo with an un-finished product. On 2nd thoughts, don't imagine that! Product is finished and we are working on demos now. Just wait and see/hear what's coming. You will be pleased ....

Because Ketron has still not released 4.2

And when they do release , shouldn't you THEN test it with AJAM?

Hi Leezone. I think there should be some clarification here: 4.2 (the OS only) has been released in beta format to some distributors for stability testing. I have the same unfinished beta version on my own Audya and we used it on the UK roadshow recently without any problems at all. However the final version has not yet been released and we are under instructions not to distribute the beta version. When Ketron Italy are happy with the results and the additional software is fully completed the whole package will be released by them.

Here in the UK installing third party software onto the Audya will a;most certainly invalidate the warranty and the user will no longer receive free support from Ketron UK.

Just visited the www.Ketron.it site, and it's got Domain Reserved... Obviously something happening with the site, could it be the release of the OS update, and the advice of the Pen Drives on thier way to distributers? Hope so

I'm wondering whether AJ has got Ketron Italy in on the AJAM project - and he's waiting to spring a major surprise on us all???? That way we wouldn't forfeit our AUDYA warrenty by installing AJAM - and our boards would only have to be sent to local KETRON dealers/distributors for the AJAM hardware upgrades. Release of both AJAM and OS 4.2 will be simultaneous - now it all adds up??? Any better ideas??

I was talking to the guys from Ketron at the recent Musikmesse in Frankfurt and nobody spoke about a development with AJ on an upgrade. There will be a USB stick available from May on from Ketron with new features for the Audya range but that`s it. I am not sure what happens with the warranty if the arranger keyboard will be modified. What happens to existing registrations and progammes when upgrading the Audya ?

So, if Ketron Italy are not in on the AJAM project - how practical is it for all Audya owners around the world (who want the hardware option) to send their Audyas to the USA for modification?? I find it hard to believe that AJ is relying on owners to go for that in large numbers??

I may of course be wrong but it would be great news indeed if an AJAM/Ketron Italy collaboration was announced.
Remaining hopeful of great and reliable updates & upgrades!! But there are clear questions regarding warrenty, software/hardware integration as well as shipping costs for mods.

I thinks will be out with 4.2a together, not before. (but 4.2a is ready more than 1 month ago), probably ketron put out 4.2a the same time with styles upgrade like last year. then AJ ... or not ? I'm stop to think about it. wait wait, wait for see the musikmesse for what ? some peoople sing ? I'm Italian and I love the ketron keyboards, but this silence is insopportable. of course I'm curious of AJ set maybe is on holiday ahah

I have never seen Ketron charge for an update that is from the factory. Aj's updates will not be free.

that was NOT FREE

It must have been one of those Unfinished Beta versions of an Audya 4 arranger module I received then , when I paid 3,300 euros for something that was in my opinion, an unfinished product with me [and others] being used as an Unpaid beta tester and not only that but I had to pay over 3 grand for the privilege . Everything that could go wrong did go wrong including fuses blowing every time I plugged it in--because they had mounted the Power supply too high inside the casing and it was shorting out--their engineers explanation -not mine- and as for other bugs and audya loops and drum rolls being out of synch and ---well just to say it was laughable except that it wasn't funny. I for one will not forget what I went through and I know for sure I am not alone. But , lets move on !! And lets see what improvements the ajamsonic has made firstly, and then work out what its gonna be costing overall to own an Audya. Ketrons policy is to release it first no matter what--get the revenue flowing in--and then try fix all the bugs and faults afterwards. Not too many companies would get away with that these days!!

everything with Ketron is Beta, you have to get it, nothing is finished, that's why it's so good they keep imroving on it all the time. Sure thier pr dept is useless, and we may wait a long extended periods for some updates and so on, but those drums, that bass, and most of the best sounding styles you will ever hear, well,,,,, makes it worthwhile
