72 pin

It is possible to install up to 32 megabytes of additional
Sample-RAM via standard 72 pin computer
SIMMs (single in-line Memory Modules) obtainable
from most computer outlets.

Please re read Frans post

You are probably limited to 32 Meg and should use that size"

Good luck & enjoy your keyboard -

Why would i be limited? Is this all that it can read?

so you mean 40mb of sample loading is i can use?

who in the heck can work with only loading 40mb of samples? this is going to be un acceptable or am i wrong about this?

Ok I'm a lil confused here maybe someone can help me out here. Ok so the WKSE doesnt sample from any audio input correct? So what in the world is the sample memory used for & Is this the memory to load wav samples into it? does this mean it will only read up to 32 mb of wav files if i were to load any? Is there any way i can increase this amount bc i def. wanna be able to load more than that into my keyboard at one time to work with. Im not worried about having em saved into the keyboard. I wouldnt mind having to load em up over & over again but i wanna be able to load as many wav samples as i want to in one session.

I just dont get it. I thought a hard disk is what would read the wav samples i load into the wk8?

I sure hope i can load more than 32mb of wav samples into the wk8se at one time.

The operating system only allows 32mb and it only plays back samples or you can import Akai samples to play. Although way ahead of it's time, you cannot compare to today's Arrangers, you are talking about a keyboard that is over 10 years old.
They must be two 72 pin 16mb modules ONLY!
