Dan,
This is a 2 fold mission which is rather interesting. I have already implemented features such as Bassist and Drum Remix plus enhanced styles navigation too. The existing FLASH will be optimized (in Italy) to include new sounds (RAM FLASH) and new styles (PATTERN FLASH). Of course, it will be advisable for existing users to keep the current FLASH styles they have in FOLDER 90 (RELOAD), esp. the ones that they value the most.
I can say at this point that just you wait ... this will be close to playing a totally different board -
* New styles * New sounds * New functions * Enhanced navigation.
I was reading the post about the SD1 OS on the ketron forum... Ketron_AJ, could you please answer me the following question: I'll now buy a SD1, that's a fact, but after reading what you wrote, what are the differences between buying it now with OS 3.0C and buying it later after the new OS is implemented in the new keyboards?... Can I upgrade a keyboard with OS 3.0C later, so that keyboard will be just like a new SD1 with the new OS from factory? including the new sounds, styles and features?
Could you please explain better all you wrote about the new stuff on the new OS, especially the new styles and sounds?
Thanks in advance...

Maged: Some can be done (due to limited memory on the X-series) but this is being looked into.
Dreamer: I am not too sure, but we should know pretty soon. OS is not being developed by one person and we just do our assigned parts ... for now.
Philh: The OS# will be determined by the cheif engineer, but for now, my guess is 4.0 (due to the massive enhancements, it cannot be a version off of 3.x).
AJ, I don't know if i can still make request about enhancement but, about the new OS and if you have available Ram in SD1, i would like a function that show the name of the registration within the block registration before select them like the midi list in juke box function. It would be very useful.
Bye.
Andrea

acima,
For now, only the SINGLE registrations get displayed from disk. I don't think the same can be achieved from BLOCK registrations (whcih reside in memory).
