There is nothing anyone can add to this, Robert makes the T4 sound the tops, IMO perhaps the best demo anyone has ever posted on SZ, unless you know different and if you find it post it, this is better than any Audya Demo, certainly MS, Roland, Pa2X. I don't think the MS will ever sound like this ever. Robert is better than Klaus every was and he was good. keep up the good work Robert and the sound recording was first class. PS and Martin Harris is a whimp!

Tony, though I definitely 'don't agree' frown with you that 'Martin Harris is a wimp',
I do agree smile that Robert's video showcases the terrific Tyros 4 sound to prove that Tyros 4's definitely "not your father's Yamaha arranger"! grin
I'm especially interested to hear Robert's feedback on the Korg Pa3X after he's attended Musik Messe in April.

Steady on now Scottyee that was not meant to be taken seriously, it simple means Martin needs to try much harder I think Robert could demo for Yamaha just as good as Martin. Don't you?

Theres a spot at 2:33 where hes playing a hero guitar and glissando down keys something a guitar cant do??? just an average player for me...... IMO Robert isn't even in the same league as Baartmans, Voncken, or Harris..

Robert is an exceptionally good player...Martin is also a good player...I think it would depend on the type of presentation.

Martin appears to be very comfortable interacting with the public, and showcasing the Tyros4's features, as well as demonstrating the sounds and styles in an incredibly facile manner...and, well he should, Tony, as the Tyros has been his "baby" all along, and he was heavily involved in it's development.

I haven't seen Robert interact within a "live" demo or clinic situation, which is quite a bit different that uploading tunes via YouTube...that's not to take away from Robert's skill as a player...he is an excellent musician (I am a fan), and really gives the Tyros4 a thorough workout.

Having had quite a few years experience as a clinician/demonstrator myself, it is not a job for everyone...being a good player is only part of it.

That said () it would be very interesting to see Robert work in a clinician/demonstrator role...he may be a natural...he certainly has the musical talent.

And, having said "that said"() Martin is pretty awesome...Korg (and others) would do well to have someone of his talent and personalty.

Ian

PS...I really enjoy your dry humor and wit, Tony...we Canadians use it a lot ourselves.

I think he's a great player, almost in the same league, but not quite.

This demo is impressive, but it doesn't really distinguish the T4 from the T3 the way the other demonstrators have.

I listened to it and agree with Donny's assessment. There wasn't a single passage that made me sit up and take notice. Certainly, he's a nice player...no question...

Awesome play from Robert, great music..

But when did he switch to T4, last time i chacked he was still playing a Fantom/Pegasus combo...

Bachus,

Must be the wax in ours ears that's causing our inability to be accurate in our judgemnet. I'll have my blown out today and then listen to Donny and the group. I only have music for one hee haa song, Elizabeth Cotton "FREIGHT TRAIN" more into what Robert plays.
