*sigh*. I just can't win. I got my vocalizer entirely replaced, and now it has a brand NEW problem.

Whenever I turn it on or off (the vocalizer, not the keyboard), or switch between songs, the reverb you hear is maxed out no matter what the value is in the edit vocalizer. If I change it up or down by even one than it corrects to the value I have whether its none whatsoever

Example: I have it set at 1. ALmost no reverb completely, right? I cue up another song by hard drive or style. Start singing. It's like I'm in a cave. It's as if it's set at 63. So I go in, and adjust up 1 to 2. Tadah. Listens to the value and almost no reverb.

Same pattern over and over. As you can imagine this is extremely annoying. Especially for every single song. Comments?

Your registrations must be recalling a vocal set, and the problem is maybe there... ?!...

Which OS ?

Have you tried going to reverb lock and do a power on setup ?

Have you done a power on setup before ?

I've never used registrations. (Well, at least purposefully). Could I have turned it on accidentally?

It's the new OS 4. Installed a while ago. This is a recent problem.

"Have you tried going to reverb lock and do a power on setup ?"

HUH??

See the problem with this board is that I gave up learning more than the basics from the manual. It's just too damn technical and not thorough enough in it's explanation of things.

Good example is me just looking up Channel transmitting to try to get an external vocalizer to work. You know, in the F6 midi section?

I can't make heads or tails of the description of that page. It doesn't even MENTION what the "Vocalizer" label is used for, or what would happen if I change the value to whatever number.

*sigh*. Any chance they might start seminars so we could take a course on the board? :-)

So what's this reverb lock?

Another thing. I thought when you checked on the "dry" command, it stayed there until you unchecked it. It ALSO keeps unchecking no matter what I switch too. Why would it just suddenly start doing things it never did before?

Halloooo??? Anyone know what reverb lock is?

There are a grand total of TWO references in the manual, and no accompanying explanation whatsoever. I see nothing at all that suggests a locking of reverb in the micro edit or vocalizer edit funtions.

REVERB LOCK IS UNDER arranger view , 2nd page , look at F10 .

Lock reverb , press save enter , F3 fpr power on set up , F10 to confirm .

Sorry. My computer was down. I will try it tonight. My keyboards at the Gig.

Tell you though, this #^%$ vocalizer is more trouble than it's worth. I'm buying an unused version of my old one to replace it.

There is always a problem with it. It doesn't bend notes properly, the hiss is awful. The functions sometimes don't work. Sometimes it works when it's OFF. Sometimes I have to press it twice to turn off because it goes to the "vocal set 01" screen first if not left on it. the reverb is funky as described.

And to top it all off, my pedal I bought less than 6 months ago for the purpose of turning it off and on stopped working and is apparently not covered.

AARRRRGGGHHHHH.

Ps: Thanks Dan. ;-)

The single pedal so I can turn the vocalizer on and off. I didn't want the multi pedal. Too much crap to fiddle with.

I can't get a cheap one to replace it either, because Solton's got that printer cable like end on it instead of quarter inch. :-(
