Speaker is optional. On the 61, the hard drive is optional. Weight is 32 pounds for 61 and 38 for 76. That is good!

That's the first thing that came to mind too when I first saw the shot of the Korg PA3X with tilt up speaker unit.

Nice memories of watching Chris Anthony's premiere presentation of the Gem Genesys back at Namm 2006.

I'm now wondering who Korg's got doing the PA3X demo presentation at Namm this year?

What I don't like about the speaker assembly is it hides your hands. It will be harder for the audience to see that you are actually playing. Instead of doing karaoke tracks or whatever it is that they think.

I honestly hope they hit it hard tommorrow...but it IS possible they decided at the last moment to announce now instead of waiing for Musikmess! That's where the real arranger gang will be. If that's the case they may not have much of a plan??

I agree with the speakers hiding your hands. It definitely would give a false image of live playing. If that's the only on-board speaker option, It would be difficult to switch from the 800 (for me).
