I am working with an Accordion user who is having difficulty when connected to the XD3. He wants to be connected to XD3 but to be able to switch off the left hand rhythm section whilst still be able to use the sounds available to him on his right hand.

Anyone got any suggestions as to how he can do this. At present the manufacturer/retailer is slow to come up with any solution.

Hi,

To do this, he can turn off (by pressing the red start/stop button while the arranger is playing) the drums and chord arrangements or turn off the KEY START and HOLD buttons... so long as he continues to play to the RIGHT of the split point.

Thanks,

AJ

Thanks for your help but apparently I didn't describe the fault correctly so any additional help you can provide would be appreciated:

The Accordion is a Guerring Polka King (midi) used with Ketron XD3 Live Performer.

When connected to the midi accordion and the relevant sound and style selected, the red start button when pressed will bring the tempo into play. At this stage all parts sound and seem to function correctly.

However when the red button is pressed again to remove the tempo, the sounds on the bass side of the accordion are altered so much that they sound very thin with no depth to them. What is the owner doing wrong? He has the following questions:

1) Factory pre set sounds- does this cover both treble and bass?
2) If bass side is not a factory preset, how can this be achieved?
3) Is there a quick method in order to obtain the desired effect?
4) Can anyone give us a good contact number to raise verbal queries and to supplement this forum?

Thanks
Jonathan
