Hello everyone,

I was just curious about the PA-80. How would you compare it overall to the Vega. I tried to check it out, but none of the music stores around my area carry it.

I just checked out the korg pa80 with the turkish/arabic card, and in my opinion I think its the best keyboard, the sounds are inredible.I'm planning on buying the korg pa80 but before I do that, I;m ganna check out the vega first begore I buy the pa80.

In my opinion the Pa 80 plus the oriental card is probably good for turkish music but for egyptian and modern arabic music cannot be compared to the Vega. The Vega is much better than the Pa 80 when it comes to Arabic music. Plus the Vega is much much more easy to use on stage than the Pa 80, just for example for the scale buttons as for a lot of other handy functions for realtime.

Don't forget guys ,the PA-80 also comes with a 40 trake Sequencer;the Vega doesn't.

And a sampler...Vega doesn't have that either.

And a "KORG" logo, Vega doesn't have that either !!!

The Pa-80 is better than any other arranger in its solo section and having the option to load samples from triton makes it even more powerful but the styles and arabic kit on the vega is a lot better for arabic music so If you are good in programing and sampling then you can make the PA-80 have all the styles from the vega.
The PA-80 the way it is with that turkish arabic Card is only good for Turkish music and Iranian.

Is there any 1/4 tone box that works with the PA-80?

With all my respect to all of your opinions but if you are playing live music on any of your keyboards and I am plying live on my Vega (that its setup is made in Lebanon), there is no other keyboard that can get just a little bit closer to it, and the Pa 80 you have in the USA compared to my Vega is like comparing a Fiat car (Pa 80) to a Mercedes SL (Vega)
