In L&R+OUTPUT3 mode should be possible to have delay and chorus, only out 3 is dry, but strange things happen.
Example:
One user voice routed through main L&R is saved with Delay effect. But when you turn on X4 and select this voice, it is without delay. I go to VOICE EDIT->EFFECT then need to switch to any effect with distorsion. Sound is muted, so I need to change value of
distorsion (increment +1 or -1 is enough to hear sound again). Then change back effect
to Delay. Delay is present and you can hear it. You need to save voice now, othervise
delay will not remain when you press exit.
Now if you change to any other voice, and then again call your user voice, delay has
mysteriously gone. You can go through the same procedure again, and again...
No matter if you save all settings to registration, or to power on setup. Same thing.
You can "shortly" bring back Delay alive following next steps (but works only if you
went through previously described exibition).
Press buttons exactly in this order:
EFFECT MENU -> Distorsion -> EDIT -> ESCAPE -> ONLINE EFFECT -> DELAYdisable ->
DELAYenable -> press another voice button -> press back your voice button.
Now you have delay again. But if you change voice now, delay is lost again.
Believe or not, this is really happening with my X4 and I have lost lot of time to
understand that manuals are written by commercial people, not technicians or musicians.
This could be a software problem or HW problem with DSPs.
I will go to the near shop to see if this is also problem with SD-1.
Separate outputs are reason why I have X4 instead of XD3, to route live drum on separate output 3 to the external equalizer.
I hope this is SW bug and it will be solved in new OS.
