What is the specific procedure for connecting the XD-9 to a computer. Will the hard drive icon appear as another drive in the " MY COMPUTER " folder? Can the Midi lyrics be displayed? Can you navigate to the various directories of the XD-9 hard drive? Etc., etc. What are the specific procedures?

I downloaded and installed the KetronFT software, opened it and selected a comport, but when I clicked on connect a Ketron "TIMEOUT ERROR" dialog box appeared after a short time.

The XD9 was previously connected via the computer cable and it was turned on. Also, I had used MIDI F6, ESCAPE F5, UTILITY F10 and COMPUTER F1 to set COMPUTER to PC.

Was there some other setting that had to be changed in the XD9? The computer just doesn't recognize the XD9! What is wrong here?

I tried this some time ago with my X1 and had exactly the same problem.

I've given up now and use floppies to transfer files.

It is a common problem but Ketron do not seem interested in resolving it.

However, I think Ketron has had a little more time to work this out for the XD9.
