Just ordered a Tyros 2 and was wondering if they have improved the organ sounds on this new model? I wasn't impressed with the organ sounds on the first Tyros.

Thanks for any comments and possible sites that I might hear some samples.

What type of Organ sounds DO you like? Or is it, in your opinion, just the quality of the Organ sounds on the orginal Tyros that you don't like? Because in my opinion there are some very good Organ sounds on the Tyros. Of course you would need to run the Tyros through a good set of speakers to be able to get the full effect and benefit. If you are used to using a stand alone Organ like a Hammond B3, A100, or a C3, etc. then I could see why the Tyros Organs may not seem extraordinarily good to you. But on the other hand M.I.P.A (Musikmesse International Press Awards) awarded the original Tyros the coveted "Best Portable Keyboard & 'Organ' in 2003. It has yet to be determined if the Tyros2 will win that prestigious award from M.I.P.A. in 2006.

From personal experience with the Tyros2 Organs I can say that they are also very good. They've added some additional Organ sounds on the Tyros2 and have included two SAV Organs as well.

I find it interesting that you ordered a Tyros2 sight unseen when you knew beforehand that the original Tyros' organs didn't suit you.

Well, all I can say is if you find out the Tyros2 organs don't meet your expectations and you really need organs that suit your personal taste and preference you always have the 30 day money back guarantee from where you ordered it. I hope....

Best regards,
Mike

Hello Ed
The organ sounds on Tyros 2 have been completely reworked compared to the original Tyros, and with a decent speaker system (Forget the ones Yamaha supply for it) I doubt if you will be disappointed.
However if you are a true organ aficionado then yes you may be disappointed. (Most people aren’t)
Hope this helps.

Bill

The organ sounds that come preset in the T2 are more than adequate, but for the best results load the editing software into your PC and get busy. It's far easier and more rewarding to customise your own sounds and the editing is very easy to do.

I donot use the organ sounds much, and don't really know exactly what to expect, but many of my friends that listen to the organ sounds did not care for them. I guess I'm just going by what they tell me. It's probably more of my lack of knowledge and experience itself than the sound. Perhaps, I just need to familarize myself with the how to alter them to make them more usable.

As far as the Tyros itself I love it. It's just that the negative comments I received about the organ sound(s) was a little desturbing. Everything else has been great.

Thanks for all your comments.

Walter Is there anything I can do to change that? I obviously don't know a lot about computers but I am very interested in what you were trying to email me? What exactly was it?

Thanks for your efforts and again if there is anything I can do to make this happen please let me know>
