I got my E80 today and so far I am enjoying it. It will take some getting used to - at first I didn't like the speakers but they don't sound too bad now. Tonight I'll start reading the book - I'm sure that will help. I want to start customizing my songs and saving them. I think this is going to be great!

Hi Marilyn . please let us know how you get on with your speakers eq settings etc and post up what exactly you did to get themn to sound good. This has been the one feature of the instrument that has caused the most concern for me.

HI Marilyn,
WELCOM TO THE CLUB!
Happy to see you got the E 80 also. I have had mine a week now but not much free time to spent with it. I am going to the beach in the motorhome for a week and will have some good free time to dig into it. I really like what I have found so far and I am learning this new OS after having all the other keyboards ever built.
Would you like to be a member of my Roland E 80 list. so far we have 4 members and it is growing. It is only for keyboard info to share with each other. If yes, my email addy is above so just send me an email and I will respond by email.
Best to you and all new Roland E 80 Members.

Marilyn congratulations on your e80. I looked at your profile and see you live at the Villages. We were in your general neighborhood last weekend. We're down visiting my wife's folks who live in Ocala, but rode over to the Villages for a tour. I would have loved to have seen the e80 in action.

Could you explain your first reaction about the sound system, and then why you decided they wern't bad..I was hoping for someone stating that they were SUPER...

I may have been used to hearing the surround sound I had hooked up to my Tyros. Once I played the E80 for awhile it sounded okay to me and still does. I think it's like anything new - you have to get used to it. I find this keyboard very user-friendly. I recorded a song and it was a breeze. I'm really enjoying it.

HI FRAN,
Yup you are as of now. I hadn't put you on it yet as I wasn't sure if you wanted to be on it. Thanks for joining us.
Bill
