I am working on a project with a friend of mine who has written a number of songs and we have to put the 'notes' to paper. Can anyone suggest software through which I could record a melody line on my kn6000, down load it to my PC, and then through the software print out a lead sheet?
Thanks in advance ...

Tony, both Band-in-a-box and Sibelius can do this. BIAB is much simpler and cost effective. I think you download trials of each and do a try-buy.

Good Luck

Ditto to Al's comments. Tony I have both Sibelius( student version) and BIAB. BIAB is simpler no doubt about it. There's a steep learning curve to using Sibelius ( at least there was for me). Good luck. Feel free to give me a call if I can help you.

Hi Guys,
I'm not sure Band in a Box still has downloadable demo versions. ( mind you, I could be looking in the wrong place haa haa)

What PG Music appears to be doing nowadays, is offering a 30 day money back guarantee if not satisfied.

Guessing it might have something to do with the Real Tracks. They seem to be slowly moving more & more towards audio styles. These audio files would be too large to download just for the sake of a demo, & without them, you're missing the full potential of the newer versions of Band in a Box.

They do also have Powertracks sequencer

http://www.pgmusic.com/powertracks.audvid.htm

It also has a Lead sheet window.

Hardly use my Powertracks anymore, prefer using Real Band which was part of my Band in a Box upgrade download.
