So what do you think?.....great player but Hammond clone I'm not so sure of....
I would say NORD units have a better
H clone. It sort of lacks the Deep Leslie Gusto.

To me it's a barrage of notes that don't necessarily tell me much about the product or the sounds.

The guy is clearly a gifted keyboard player, but generally speaking nobody plays arrangers like this in the real world. It's like a contest to cram in as many notes as you possible can and it burns my ears trying to judge how good it sounds.

Regards
James

Playing the Audya at that speed would cause it to have a note stick on, mine's done it twice today and only play 1/4 of that speed.

Hi Tony.
You still have the Audya?

I thought you had given up on that and moved on.

What would cause that sticking in an Audya and not a Korg PA2x?

For every single note played there is note on, velocity, pitch and note off data. Notes getting stuck is normally caused by the note off data getting lost due to bandwidth or poor signal.

Normally you only find this happening if your in the Studio and your using a stupidly long midi cable. Having this happen internally in the Audya suggest design flaw.

James

Hammond clone - no way. But on second thought, it is a H clone and sounds like it. It's certainly not the real thing especially in the upper registers and with a few of those settings. It has that synth H clone sound which most people will accept as the real thing. But you gotta have a Hammond to say you're playing a Hammond. I've got a Hammond.

Maybe this will make some sense.

A clone of a Hammond will sound more like a real Hammond recorded to CD than the actual Hammond played in the room your sitting in.

What ya think?

James.
