Living in California, I appreciate that Synthzones timezone matches where I live, but curious how members living in other time zones around the world deal with having to view PST (-8:00) instead.of their own local time. I'd suppose it would be relatively simply to allow for the difference if you're only a few hours different, but suspect more complicated and frustrating to constantly have to convert if you live in Australia. Just curious.

Not only the time - we also have to be alert to the differing date formats!
Your 12-6-2010 is my 6-12-2010.
Many of the forums within which I participate allow for the setting of a local time, which then sorts it all out, for instance, psrtutorial.com

And also, how did Nigel plump for Pacific Time when he himself is in Australia (I think)? Nige? Nige?

Nigel is in California, but originally from Down Under.

Just a question - how often does someone REALLY pay attention to the time on S-Z ... and does it really matter ...

I've never paid attention to the time on ANY forum or website. Guess it's not something important to me.

Perhaps I merely pay attention only because the SZ timezone is the same as mine. On occasion though, the 'last post' time can sometimes provide a useful frame of reference to just 'how long ago' a post was made.

The date is somewhat confusing to me also, having to adjust to the mm-dd-yyyy format instead of the dd-mm-yyyy we use here.

My only other "problem" is that since we have many hours difference with the US, sometimes I log on Synthzone too late to catch an epic
quarrel (see "discussion", before heads are cooled and comments deleted.
