If you want to play with any of the factory sounds on your Audya and save the edited sound as a program just locate the page with the sound on in the Factory VOICE section, then press and hold the corresponding "F" pushbutton on the left or right hand side of the screen) then name and save to the PROGRAM section.

How about an Exterior Vocal Harmony 2 On/Off button on deck on the next

Donny,

You can assign the vocal harmony on/off to a foot switch. The information can be saved to a registration that is used to set all user-defined, default, keyboard settings. This allows you to keep your hands free for playing the keyboard.

Hi Gary ...yes I know all that and have utilized it alo .....but I want have buttons,knobs/sliders for Everything when I play....the finger is quicker then the foot in my book....let's face it Yamaha has great styles, great sounds already, not much more they can do in that department.. isn't it time they give the "player" more comfortable, bigger, clearer, outdoor ready, displays and easier access to "on deck controls" lord knows they have the room for it. Independent simulatneous Mp3/Smf/Style play like on the Audya & Songbook like the Korg Pa2x...why cant they all learn from each others mistakes?

Just by holding down the "down arrow" button underneath the style part for a few seconds SOLOs that part until you press the same button again. Its great for isolating style parts while adding effects and eq.

Yep, I use this one a lot too, and though this one's merely mentioned in tiny print in the user manual, it's definitely a very useful one that can be so easily overlooked.

As I already mentioned over my many years at sz, here's a truly 'hidden feature' on all Yamaha arrangers that's never even mentioned in any Yamaha owners manuals:

'Rootless Jazz Chord Types' recognized in Fingered Mode:

Key of C:

F1-C2-E2: Dm79 iim79
F1-B1-E2: G713 V713
E1-A1-D2: C69 I69

* the above ii-V7-I rootless chord voicing progression is recognized in the other 11 keys as well: total: 12 keys.

Puting on eBay a Korg arranger and saving some money will get you a nice computer setup or MS.
If that counts for a tip too...

A feature i seldom use but find neat is when i want to FWD or RWD a song(PSR9000) all one has to do is press either FWD/RWD and while still holding button press the 'song page number', then it will fast forward in auto, then simply press fwd/rwd to stop when you want it to stop.
