Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I was playing my S910 today and discovered by accident that if you hit the "Ending" button twice, the tempo on the ending starts decreasing. I had no idea that this feature was there. You can start the ending and then if you hit the same ending button again, the tempo immediately starts slowing down. Kewl!

I tried searching on here to see if this feature has been been discussed, but I wasn't able to go through all the posts - so please excuse me if y'all knew all about this feature. For me it was a very kewl discovery!

It has been on all the PSR and Tyros series keyboards since the T1 and PSR-740.

Yep, this is one of those hidden features I first discovered & used back on T1 but had simply forgotten about over time, so thanks Randy for reminding us of this useful feature.

There are a few other similar 'hidden' undocumented Yamaha arr features but I just can't seem to remember those either. Anybody got a list? It would be nice to see these listed somewhere sometime. Anybody? - Scott

That feature's been around a while. It's buried in the manuals, somewhere. I use it a lot, especially on the longer endings. You just have to sense when to use it. or things can get to slow.................. -charley

It would be nice if the user could regulate the speed of the Ritardando...but... thats makes sense

Not to hijack the thread, but the coolest feature I've ever found is the 'repeating' loops that can be triggered on intros, ending, fills, etc on the PA series. Hit a respective button twice and it continues to repeat the pattern until pressing a button again - and if you hit the 2nd button on intro and ending, you can play your own chords at will

Another "trick" I use on the S910 and/or Tyros is to use ending #1 as a stop...you have to time it right, but if you hit a Variation button before the ending completely stops, you can keep the style rolling.

I also reprogram one of my Intros to be a stop fill...I simply use "Style Creator/Assembly, to copy the parts from Ending #1 to Intro #1 (which is usually one bar long), ensuring that the stick count-in part is removed, but still keeping the drum fill/flourish at the end of the bar.

You can then go to Intro#1, and when it does it's stop/fill, the accompaniment returns to the Variation you were on initially.

You can also go directly from one Variation to the next without a drum fill/fill-in by quickly pressing the Variation button twice.

Sometimes I copy the parts from Variation D into Ending #2, and make the length either 2 or 4 bars...that way, I can hit Ending #2 button twice, causing the ritard, and then press Ending #1 for a nice smooth slow down to a stop.

In regards to the three adjacent notes cutting out all accompaniment parts except the drums, you can cut out all parts except the bass and drums by pressing 4 adjacent keys.
