if you send me your email address I will send you my Musical Resources for the PA-500, and also the 27 minutes DEMO that I made with them. Admittedly they are not oriental orientated but they do show the potential of your current keyboard and also should give you a better EQ sound......

Kashif,

was there any noticeable difference in the sound? Are things better? Does the need to upgrade still exists?

Kashif,

Thank you, have you actually also loaded my Musical Resources (BKP file )?

For all others, I just stumbled across these videos on youtube, with the Korg PA-500,
fabulous stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9Pk1f418ww&feature=BF&list=UL&index=14 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKPByclFwdM&feature=grec_index

and there are more of him,
Bet that are loads of musicians with a keyboard 5 times more expensive who cannot come up with anything near this..........

John ,,that fella still plays like a keyboard player...Technique and voicing is an art to playing guitar on keys..Here is an example.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLajokq3nyc

Fran....I agree......this is a major problem I see many people do on an arranger KB....they play everything like a piano regardless of the instrument sound used. You gotta think like a person really playing that particular instrument & all its nuances. This is where playing an arranger gets very complex as your doing so many things at once, & your brain has to think about the sound your using every time you switch sounds and play that sound correctly.

Guitar emulation is an art in itself, for sure...how do you and the G-70 get along with it, Fran?

I have a friend that is an accomplished keyboardist, guitarist and drummer...What he can do with the keyboard to emulate a guitar or drums is unbelievable..The best I have ever heard or seen....He thinks like a guitarist.over laps his hands and picks the correct order of the voicing for strums and voicing of chords..the exact intervals of a guitar...

And he is just as good playing drums on keys...

BTW: he is no slouch on keys either...

Yep, I used to fake it, years ago...the advent of Yamaha's SA Guitars really helps with the realism, especially acoustic guitar.

Whatever works for you.
