Diki,
If you notced I did not do that.

Kashif,
Well, I'm not sure what to tell you.
Did you like the PA800? Why did you sell it?
What's wrong with the PA500 you have?

If I were you, I guess I would go wih the MFG that you think will support your kid of music best.
My guess is the Korg...but I'm not sure.
Korg does have the majority of business in Mid-East.

If you can do your own styles, sounds etc...then I would go with the one you like best in general.

When on you-tube and looking or demos on Korg PA800 most of the music seems to be Middle Eastern.

Kashif,

I've had Pa800 and Pa2xpro I just sold my s910. Now this is not scientific, but............2 middle easterners purchased my Korg's and the s910 was purchased by an American who intends to play lots of big band, swing and jazz on the S910. You can draw your own conclusion, but I know which I'd purchase if I were playing middle eastern music.

I have never played the any of the keyboards above, but, aren't you curious about the description of the problem?

It sounds like "heavy books on top of speakers", my guess is it sounds muffled. Could it be an EQ issue?

I have an s910. The major reason I chose that over the PA800 was price. I think the PA800 has a better vocalizer and it's a toss-up over the operating system. Sounds are excellent on both keyboards. The s910 is definitely a joy to play, but if price were equal I would definitely give the PA800 a try.

Hi Trident,

Thanks for your comment. Probably I compare Korg pa500 with Yamaha PSR 2000. I read some reviews on Korg pa500 that "it is a good keyboard if we know how to tweak it" which shows definitely it needs to be change the EQ settings but I'm not sure how. I tried to change some global settings but still didn't get the desired result. Before buying Korg pa500, I supposed it will sound like Korg pa800 with only some functions less, but probably I was wrong, there is a lot of difference in sound quality and output between Korg pa500 and Korg pa800

Hi Kashif,
if you create YOUR own middle eastern styles, the korg has some great creation & editing functions. PA800 also has a sampler, so you can load additional sounds that you may want to use in your styles.
(Using other peoples styles that use sampled sounds can sometimes get a bit messy, in the loading & saving procedures.)

If you already have a heap of middle eastern styles that you use? what keyboard are they for?

Even though I have a fair bit of success converting the odd one of my Psr1500
( western type styles ) across to my korg, it's a lot of work getting them to sound reasonable. Converting eastern type music may not be as simple if both keyboards don't share the same instruments.

It's going to be easier to tweek any eastern psr2000 styles you may have to psrs910 than it is to convert to korg.

Also was your PA500 an oriental version of the keyboard? It quite possibly may contain some sounds the PA800 doesn't have.

You can download korg manuals and do a comparison.

best wishes
Rikki

Kashif,

Have you considered keeping the PA-500 and adding the PSR 710 ????
Furthermore I would think a choice between Yamaha and Korg a NON-ISSUE for oriental music. Forgive me if I am no judge of this music but surely the PA-500 oriental version beats ANY Yamaha keyboard for that kind of music ??
good luck,

Kashif,
If you have not...you need to set the Master EQ to 'ON' and make adjustments for your room and speaker system..
SIMPLE...go to page 210 in your manual...here yiu find the instructions.

If you have not done this you have no idea how good the PA500 can sound.
