Ya, did that (or at least compared it to the T3)
For me, off the top of my head, it was:

3 RH voices - I'll often use 2 together as a combo, and then keep the 3rd to swith quickly keyboard/piano for background with a singer
Keybed feel
Voices, especially SA(2)
Ability to play realistic sounding voices, with SA and keybed
Screen
Recording (more as an add on)

And now with the T4, I can add
Drums (haven't heard them, relying on what they say)
Vocal harmony

I definitely missed some, but that's the list off the top of my head...

just buy the T3 or T4. Thye are both significant upgrades compared to what you are currently playing.

Listen my friend , this will be great advice for the years to come. It does not matter if or when the manufcaturer brings out a new model. Upgrading every time they bring out a new model is not obligatory and it will limit your ability to develope as a musician as each time you waste time learning how to use new toys intsead of learning to use your instrument well .

As far as i can see, there is no dilema here. what ever you choose right now will blow your socks of for the next 4-5 years if you take the time to learn the instrument and apply that learning musically.

If I was in your position I'd get a T3. For Jewish/Chassidic music there isn't much of a difference. Most of the Jewish performers I know do not think it is necessary to upgrade.

That said, I do plan to upgrade since firstly I get lots of use out of it, so its worth it for me; and secondly because there's one new drum kit I think is a step higher than the T3. Other than that, the T4, really is a T3.1

T4 is worth it for the vocal harmony if nothing else. It will be all the tool you'll need for many years.

Don, did you get a chance to try the Tyros4?

Are you saying the harmonizer is better than previous models?

I haven't tried the Tyros 4 yet..

No I haven't seen one yet. Need to make a trip to Lufkin to see Don P.'s. However, I've heard the harmonizer is much improved; but then it would HAVE to be!
All I've asked for the past few years is a good vocal harmonizer and more lively drums. From what I've heard on-line, the drums are still not there, so the harmonizer is a moot point to me. However, if a person is happy with the drum sounds, and the harmonizer is as good as touted, then it would be a great purchase.
