Dnj,

I know the imperatives on stage. I personnaly gig a lot with dancefloor full of people at BPM 170... I know what it is, trust me

When I created vArranger, I had this in my mind, and I always continue to improve the live oriented experiences.

When I do a gig, and I had something who bothered me or stressed me a little bit, I change it. Also when the other users tell me about something who can help the work flow, I always take it.

For now, switching from one registration to another one is faster in my computer than on my Ketron SD1. When the measure is ended, the new registration starts immediately.

Whatever, not everyone have the need of an arranger software who can take with him in his laptop. I accept your arguments

Rikky :

Now that vArranger can play the Yamaha styles, you have to know that Yamaha styles are basicly MIDIFILES format 0 + another section for the arranger settings, who can be easily edited on the computer. There is a lot of tools avaible on the web.

You don't have to convert your midifile to style. Just load it on you DAW and edit it directely.

If you had a virtual Tyros 4, I'd be very interested

Dan

Speaking of creating some special hardware to make things easier, yes! Maybe a very lightweight keyboard, with the Registration Memory/Presets in the middle, like Yamaha has failed to do recently Or I suppose a contol pad of sorts would work also.

I personnaly use a laptop with a touch screen
(HP TM2)
It is good because you have direct access to all the functions by a finger click.
But in Live situation, there is some buttons, like fill ins, variations, start stop, call next registration... that you prefer to press on something real.

On my MIDI keyboard, I have buttons (pads) that I have assignated to my important live functions.

I also bought an apple wireless bluetooth keyboard, and put some stickers on the keys.

This is also good to control vArranger.

Many options exists...Every one, his prefered way
