These things rock (in stereo setup). PLENTY of bass too. Beautiful and clear sound and at 27 lbs, a keeper for my keyboard act.

They appear to be ideal for one man gigging at only 27 lbs (no heavier than my ancient Yamaha MS60S powered monitors) and the power is substantial.

What do they sell for?

Yeah I agree totally Zuki, I have the K10's and a powered sub (Peavey) IF I need it. The K10's are the best I have used. Worth EVERY cent imo!

MSRP $699 each, but worth it.

If they are built anything like my Yamaha MS60S, and are as good as you say, then they are worth it.

My speakers are over 25 years old, and have not given a problem...ever, and they were around $700 each, and they only have 60 watts RMS...but they sound great.

So, I'm imagining you get what you pay for in these QSC K-8's...you'll probably never need another system.

I'll look around the stores and see if I can audition a pair while I'm on my pre-Christmas tour.

Thanks for the heads up on them.

Ian

They carry a 6 year warranty. That should last me to the end of my career

Ian have a look at the K10's as well, they are not too much more and have a rounder bottome end , in my view, although the 8's are good too

We demoed these speakers at the store last week and weren't impressed at all... with specs showing only ...61hz/56hz the low end bass resonse definitly didnt impress us....but after all they are only 8"/10" speakers....nice top end units, ...but a sub is definity needed....I prefer a powered 15".......

You do realise Donny that 56hz is actually a LOWER frequency than a kick drum, and about 40hz lower than the lowest on a bass?

Most subs only go to around 40-50 as well.

I suggest you might want to re-think this.
