Hi

leezone, Giovanni, Don P

The song is an old Scottish song Annie Laurie.
The sound is "Romantic split" from the Program Mode.

... and as of OS 4.0, AUDYA has VCE (Voice Character Emulation) technology added to it's sound engine and processing.

Thanks,

AJ

I love two instruments I wish I could play. The trumpet and the.........violin!

I don't think it's so much about what your audience hears as much as what YOU hear. The better it sounds to YOU the more your creativity will open up (when using the violin patch).

James.....that's a great sounding violin you have there...particularly in the lower registers. And you played it as a violinist would play. That makes all the difference no matter how the sound itself comes out. Now what control did you have over it in real time use? Vibrato, delay, ADSR? And what DID you use to reproduce it?

Neils....you did a fine job on your song, but I would have to say that James's violin sounds more believable. Not only the sound but how he manipulated it. As I listened to your tune 2-3 times I got weary of the lack of dynamics in the violin patch. I never was crazy about the Ketron violin. But you DID do justice to that song....a lovely piece! I'd like to hear you play it with the violin patch James was using.

Hi

No doubt that the sample from James is more realistic. But I have never heard a better violin from an arranger keyboard than the violin from the Audya. Compared to the Tyros 3, the Audya voices sound richer and warm or more pro if you like.

C'mon, James...! Did you play that violin thing yourself, if so, is that also your sample set, or a VSTi?

It's awesome... tons of articulation, nice slurring, you name it. Didn't quite get to hear what it would do if you started to bow a lot angrier, but in the range you played it, it was superb.

'Fess up... How'd ya do it?

Saswick,

Sounds bloody good to me, but what do I know, expect someone to come piling in or maybe I have just stopped them. What the hell is it all about, if it sounds like a violin, looks like a KB, it must be a violin, send us some more of your work.

Tony
